Membership dues: $30/year
Membership is valid from January 1 - December 31 of each year.
Dues paid in the final quarter (Oct-Nov-Dec) of the year carry over into the following year as valid membership for that full year.
Membership in the United Democrats of Alameda is open to all registered voters.
Only members in good standing are able to vote on official group business.
We believe in democracy and the rights of all to be heard and free, fair and fully informed self-governance.
We support our police and efforts to ensure public safety, including a thoughtful approach to policing, traffic concerns, protecting personal property and mindful of promoting a peaceful environment for all. We do not condone misconduct or brutality against anyone.
We support balanced growth that preserves a livable Alameda for every resident in our community. We value inclusive and diverse neighborhoods composed of single-family residences, multi-family housing, and affordable units. We support Article XXVI of Alameda’s city charter.
We value fair and inclusive access to education, opportunities for excellence in academics including supporting a wealth of extracurricular enrichment in music, arts, sports, science, and creative endeavors that improve the growth of academically prepared, innovative and community minded students.
We support policies that encourage thriving small businesses and a strong local economy. We believe employees should be paid strong and fair wages.
