Trish Herrera Spencer for City Council

In contrast, Greg Boller and Michelle Pryor do not support public safety- both candidates want Pamela Price to remain in office and reject proposition 36, which increases penalties for crimes and brings balance to our justice system.
Thusan Amarasiriwardena for City Council
We understand Thusan cannot accept our endorsement, because of his employment situation, but our members' choice, when choosing to vote for a second council member, is Thushan. Of the three politically similar three newcomer candidates, Thushan has run the strongest campaign, has the most experience contributing to Alameda communities, and has the most articulate vision for his children's and Alameda's future.

State Assembly and Alameda County
Mia Bonta for Assembly
Mrs. Bonta has incredible experience in California politics. We hope she will use her experience and influence to pursue common sense, bipartisan policy solutions that benefit everyday Californians.
Yes to Recall
We stand with SAFE, the Alameda County Prosecutors Association, Alameda Police Union, and support the recall of Pamela Price. Stopping crime requires police officers to make arrests and the district attorney to prosecute the crimes. DA Price has failed in her most basic duties to hold criminals accountable. We are also concerned by Price’s extraordinary efforts to criminally prosecute police officers in the Mario Gonzalez case though the officers were cleared in numerous investigations.
CA State Propositions
Yes on Prop 3
We fully endorse protecting same sex marriage.
No on Prop 5
We are a strong “no” on prop 5, because it would weaken sensible guardrails that support fiscal responsibility. Californians are taxed enough, and we do not need to make it easier for special interests to find news way to raises taxes. Instead of prop 5, our leaders should find ways to spend money wisely.
No on Prop 33
We are “no” on prop 33, because we follow the evidence that shows over and over again that rent control does not help with housing affordability or supply.
Yes on Prop 36
We stand with everyday Californians, law enforcement, and fully support prop 36. Crime is out of control. It is ridiculous that toothpaste has to be locked up in our pharmacies. Criminal acts must have consequences. Prop 36 is a good start.
Federal
Kamala Harris for President
As Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, we believe Kamala Harris is the best choice for leading our nation. Harris is striving to be a unifying American leader. While we have our share of criticisms of Harris, she still represents a better example of American values and decency than former President Trump.
Adam Schiff for US Senate
Representative Schiff is a smart, dedicated public servant who distinguished himself during the Trump impeachment trial. We believe he will govern in the best interests of the state, which means support reproductive freedom and an economy that works for all.
Jennifer Tran for US Congress
Dr. Tran will lead with a more representative and common sense approach to governance than the other candidate..
